MOTUL DPF CLEANER – Restore Diesel Performance and Efficiency
Modern diesel engines rely on DPF's to reduce harmful emissions. Over time, these filters can become blocked with soot and ash, leading to loss of power, increased fuel consumption, and warning lights on your dashboard. MOTUL DPF Cleaner is specially formulated to break down these deposits and restore your vehicle’s efficiency.
MOTUL DPF Cleaner is a diesel fuel additive designed to be poured directly into the fuel tank. It actively supports DPF regeneration and helps maintain a clean and efficient diesel particulate filter. By removing soot build-up and preventing new deposits, it enhances engine performance, reduces harmful emissions, and improves cold start behaviour.
This advanced formula also improves the storage and corrosion stability of diesel fuel while acting as a defoaming agent. For optimal results, use regularly to keep your DPF clean and functioning properly, ensuring long-term reliability and efficiency of your diesel engine.
DPF CLEANER Key Benefits:
✅ Cleans and regenerates DPFs without disassembly
✅ Reduces soot and exhaust backpressure
✅ Improves fuel economy and engine performance
✅ Prevents costly repairs and breakdowns
✅ Ideal for preventive and corrective treatment
✅ Compatible with all diesel engines fitted with DPFs
How to use MOTUL DPF Cleaner Works:
- Ensure you add the product to the fuel tank before refuelling (using when the tank is at the reserve will have an optimal effect).
- Add the full bottle (300ml) to the fuel tank
- Drive normally for at least 30-50 miles to allow the product to circulate and activate DPF regeneration
Pour one whole can of MOTUL DPF CLEANER DIESEL in the Diesel tank before refuelling.
A can is sufficient for Diesel fuel tanks from 20 up to 40 liters. In curative mode, pour the entire bottle for 20L of Diesel (on the dashboard: DPF warning light on).
In preventive mode, pour the entire bottle for 40L of Diesel (every 5000 km).To maintain the benefits of DPF cleaning, use MOTUL DPF CLEANER DIESEL regularly for optimal performance.

FAQs – MOTUL DPF Cleaner
What is a DPF and why does it get blocked?
A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) captures and stores soot particles from the exhaust gas to reduce emissions. Over time, the filter can become clogged, especially with frequent short journeys or low-speed driving, which prevent the DPF from reaching the temperature needed to burn off the soot.
What are the symptoms of a blocked DPF?
- Loss of engine power
- Increased fuel consumption
- DPF warning light or check engine light
- Frequent or failed regenerations
- Engine going into limp mode
Will MOTUL DPF Cleaner clear the DPF warning light?
Yes, in many cases it can help clear the warning light if the blockage is not too severe. If the DPF is heavily clogged, a more intensive cleaning method or professional service may be required.
Is it safe to use MOTUL DPF Cleaner in my car?
Yes. MOTUL DPF Cleaner is compatible with all diesel engines equipped with DPFs, including cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles.
How often should I use a DPF Cleaner?
For preventative maintenance, use every 3,000 miles or 5000km at your regular service intervals. If you're experiencing DPF issues, a single treatment may be enough to resolve minor blockages.
Can I use it if my vehicle is already in limp mode?
If your engine is in limp mode, the DPF may be too blocked for this cleaner to be effective on its own. In such cases, it’s best to consult a mechanic for a forced regeneration or off-vehicle clean.
Does it affect the fuel or engine components?
No. MOTUL DPF Cleaner is designed to be fuel-safe and will not harm injectors, fuel lines, or other components.
