The first two Super League races of the Russian Ice Speedway Championship took place on 12 and 13 December in the town of Kamensk-Uralsky. Team CSKA, representing the city of Moscow, won these first two races. Only a few days before the event, the Russian team announced it would be joined by the Russian athlete, Dimitry Koltakov. The 2015 Ice Speedway Gladiators World Champion's team has been supported by Motul for several years. With his team-mates, Dmitry Homitsevich, Eduard Krysov and Sergei Makarov, also well-known sportsmen in their field (all have already participated in Ice Speedway Gladiators races), he managed to leave the Ural Federal District in the lead of the Russian Championship, thanks to the twelve points bagged at the event.
