The National Auto Sport Association Championship took place from 6 to 9 September on the Mid-Ohio circuit, in the United States. Robert Davis Racing, supported technically by Motul, won there for the sixth time. Joshua Allen, at the wheel of a Mazda MX-5, took the win in the Performance Touring-D category, in front of plentiful opposition. Apart from Allen's MX-5, RDR entered three RX-8s with a rotary Wankel engine. 'Every time we are on a circuit', stated team manager Robert Davis, 'I'm increasingly proud of the friendliness, sportsmanship and efforts of everyone in the team.
