The seventh running of the Classic Days event took place from 3rd to 5th August in the enchanting surroundings of Schloss Dyck, west of Düsseldorf, and reaffirmed itself as one of the major events of the German car collectors’ scene. Motul couldn’t miss this opportunity and was present, in particular to let collectors know about its range of Motul Classic lubricants and maintenance products for use on their beloved cars.
Almost 6000 cars and vintage motorcycles were to be found on site, from a mammoth 24-litre 1927 Napier Bentley to Mercedes race cars brought by the marque, including the famous 300 SLR with which Stirling Moss set the overall record at the 1955 Mille Miglia. The famous British champion was present also, together with other celebrities such as Jochen Mass and Gils van Lenneps (respectively one-time and two-time winners of the 24 Hours of Le Mans). The “Best of Show” in the Concours d’Elégance was awarded to a French car, a 1927 Voisin Chartreuse which is a magnificent example of the Art Deco era, richly applauded by the 27,500 visitors who made the trip.
