MOTUL reinforces links with HONDA through support of TT Legends Team

Motul has just signed a partnership agreement with the Honda TT Legends team which, for the second consecutive time, is taking part in the Endurance World Championship. Part of Honda Europe’s official factory programme, Honda TT Legends will also be participating at selected road racing events such as the Isle of Man TT.

‘We are delighted to reinforce our links with motorcycling through our support of Honda Europe’s endurance programme’, commented Hervé Amelot, Motul’s Managing Director. ‘The Honda TT Legends team has assembled an excellent rider line-up for 2012’. Mention can indeed be made of John McGuinness, 17-time winner of the tough TT, Cameron Donald, road racing ace, Gary Johnson, British Superstock star, and Simon Andrews, 2011 fastest TT newcomer. All four riders will contest the 2012 Endurance World Championship while Mc Guinness and Andrews will make up a two-man team for the Isle of Man TT and the Northwest 200, looking to add to Honda’s 160 TT wins on the Isle of Man. They are remaining faithful to the CBR 1000 RR Fireblade, a model whose twentieth anniversary is being celebrated this year.

For Neil Tuxworth, Honda TT Legends team manager, ‘As Motul has valuable experience in EWC, this is an ideal collaboration as the team enters its all-important second year of competition. As an official partner at the TT, Motul is also ideally placed to support the team on the Isle of Man.’

The first EWC event, the Bol d’Or, is scheduled for 14-15 April at  Magny-Cours.
